Subcontract Precision Engineering CNC Machining & HAAS Machine Service Specialists

Piranha CNC was founded in 2014. David set up the company, Dan Joined in 2020 to set up the machine shop. Originally located in Hemel Hempstead providing HAAS machine servicing around the UK in a wide range of industries. In July 2020, they relocated North to Huntingdon and expanded into precision CNC machining and sub-contractor projects.

In the Beginning

Great-grandfather was fully apprentice trained and was the foreman of a grinding shop. Grandfather, also fully apprentice trained, served in the royal engineers during National Service, Attended night school to gain his Higher National Certificate, and then went on to ICI Ltd as Special Purpose Machine Tool Designer.

More Recent Times

Dan Darvell served his apprenticeship and become a trained CNC machinist and tool maker experienced in sub-contractor work to motorsport and the aerospace industry and sub con machining. Daniel’s experience in using CAD-CAM and CNC lathes and milling enables us to produce high-quality components from a wide range of industries.

David Darvell worked as a service engineer both at home and abroad after a full mechanical apprenticeship in tool making and machine tool fitting at Lucas Aerospace in Hemel Hempstead.
